Illustrated Web Designs

Many design studios and freelance designers have website designs that are rich in graphics and illustrations. Most of these sites are done in flash with animations, the only problem with flash is that search engines won’t be able to index the content of the site, thus lesser possibility of ranking.

Recently, Adobe teamed up with leading search engine vendors to improve their ability to index Flash content. But many do not know that google has been indexing these Flash files for years now.

Now that there is no more search engine hindrance from making Flash site I guess we’ll be seeing more of these in the coming years.

But what is so good about having a Flash site? First, you don’t have to worry about cross platform compatibility unlike your regular htm, asp sites. Second, you are assured that your content will look the same across all browsers. Lastly, the more advanced user experience it can provide with animations and other stuff that actionscript can do. The only downfall of a flash site against normal site is the loading time.

Let’s not talk about technical stuff anymore instead let us appreciate the inspiring illustrations from flash and non-flash websites.
